According to Hale County Sheriff Michael Hamilton, the shooting occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, during a “Class Day Out” event near the 16000 block of Alabama Highway 14. Authorities clarified that although the incident was connected to the gathering, the shooting itself did not occur inside the designated event area.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire. When deputies arrived, they discovered 24-year-old Librian Jones Jr. of Greensboro suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported for emergency medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
